Intellectual Wellness

The dimension of intellectual wellness involves recognizing creative abilities and finding ways to expand our knowledge and skills.

More largely, this can include looking at different perspectives of an issue and taking them into consideration, whether through learning about current events, taking part in community organizing, or simply conversing with individuals of different perspectives, you can broaden your perspective and better understand diverse points of view.

Intellectual discovery is at the heart of Wellesley's mission and values, and there are many folks across campus here to help support your own intellectual discovery and well-being. Check out more about the PLTC and Classes below!

Pforzheimer Learning and Teaching Center (PLTC)

The Pforzheimer Learning and Teaching Center (PLTC) supports the intellectual life of students, staff, and faculty at Wellesley College, and works to help students maximize their educational opportunities and realize their academic potential.

Together with Academic Success Coaches (ASCs), the PLTC offers support around note-taking, test-taking, memorization, communication, and time management.

Class Deans

The Class Deans aim to provide all students with individually focused advising and targeted academic support appropriate to their needs, along with programs that support the successful exploration of the College's curricular and co-curricular offerings. The Class Deans collaborate with faculty advisors and staff members from many other offices across the College to help make sure all students have the support they need to realize their goals.
