Wellesley College’s 500-acre campus is famous for its natural and architectural beauty, and our grounds and pathways are open for all to enjoy.
The Wellesley College Botanic Gardens and Davis Museum are open to the public admission-free at regular posted hours.
While you are on campus, we kindly ask you to follow these guidelines:
Lake Waban. You are welcome to explore the paths around the lake that are on Wellesley College property. Part of the path on the lake’s southeast side is private property and closed to the public. You will not be able to complete a loop around the lake. Please plan accordingly.
Dogs. Wellesley College requires dogs to be leashed at all times. Having dogs off leash but under voice control is not permitted.
There is no public access to campus buildings or restrooms. Campus buildings are closed to the general public. However, events (such as lectures, performances, competitions) may be designated as open to the public, and public-facing facilities (such as the Davis Museum, bookstore, Global Flora, and the Office of Admission) are open at specified hours. Masking is optional.
Parking. The general public may park in the Distribution Center Lot #2. As parking is limited, we recommend that you walk or bike to campus, if possible. If you are coming to campus for an event, please ask event organizers for parking recommendations. Cars parked in restricted areas are subject to ticketing and towing by the College or the Town of Wellesley.
